I love to golf. There is no doubt about it. This website's theme is inspired by the beautiful golf courses that are out there waiting to be played. Whenever work gets too stressful, or I get to the point where I have been staring at my screen for days, golf is the best way to escape it all. There is nothing like putting your smart phone ringer to silent, and transforming the device into your personal GPS caddy. Golf is great exercise and will definitely take your mind off anything from work.
Golf is definitely a game of skill, and all players advance their abilities at different rates. Golf is challenging because you are playing against yourself. Your ability, confidence and skill consistency all come in to play. You can play 17 perfect holes and then tank your score on the 18th. Consistency is key.
Golf can also teach and reinforce positive skills in your professional career. Golf is a gentleman's game, most clubs enforce strict dress codes and rules of etiquette. The risks and rewards can prepare you to handle yourself under intense situations. Golf can teach you to stay calm and level headed, and allow you to practice failing gracefully. You grab your club of choice from your bag, and trusting your muscle memory you take a nice clean swing at the ball and watch it as it sails through the air with control and precision, all the while forgetting whatever is waiting for you back at the office.
